Imperious Gallas reveals all ahead of Euros

Arsenal defender William Gallas has been much-criticised for his captaincy of the club, but he will play a key role in France's Euro 2008 squad as Raymond Domenech's side look to surpass their World Cup exploits. In this video, he talks about his strengths, his own goal against Manchester United, and offers some top tips on the art of defending.


Arsenal defender William Gallas, formerly of Chelsea, has been heavily criticised for his captaincy of the club, but he will play a key role in France’s Euro 2008 squad as Raymond Domenech’s side look to surpass their World Cup exploits of two years ago.

Here, Gallas talks to Nike about his strengths, his leadership, his own goal against Manchester United, and offers some top tips on the art of defending.

France’s defence has been extremely impressive in recent times, and Gallas will be part of the back four in Austria and Switzerland.
